There are four different content-types which can be created in yourResearchPortal: Research Results, Organizations, Projects and Publications. Each of the content-types contains information and two-way relations with the other content-types. If content A is related to Content B the relation will appear in the display of both contents.

All contents within yourResearchPortal should be available in both, german and english. In the creation process you first have to choose which language you are using. The created content can be translated afterwards.

Research Result

The Content-Type research result is the central element of yourResearchPortal which connects all other Content-Types. It is created in four steps:

  1. The Language of the content, the title of the research result, translated title(optional), website and contact person(s).
  2. The related projects, organizations and research results.
  3. The dimensions have to be chosen. They are important for the classification and quantitative analysis of all research results.
  4. The textual description, additional images and files and related publications.

Organization

Examples for an Organization are research institutions, private companies or public administrations.

Organizations are created in one step which includes the following: language of the content, title, abbreviation of the title, translated title(optional), address, director, website and the type of organization. Furthermore it is possible to add related research results.

Every user can join organizations of which he is member or employee.

Project

A project is created with two steps:

  1. The language of the content, title, translated title(optional), abbreviation of the title, project contact person, website, duration of the project, a textual description.
  2. Related research results, information about the funding, project discipline and the project working hours can be added.

Concerned persons can join the project similar to organizations.

Publication

Publications are all types of text. These could be articles, conference paper or presentations and reports.

At first, you should add related research results and the full text of the publication if it is available. Then, you have two possibilities to add the meta-information of the publication:

  1. Choose the type of publication and type in the information manually.
  2. SPress the „paste“-button and insert BibTex Code in the appearing textfield to complete the information automatically. It is possible to edit the entered information like in possibility number 1.
